The cable itself is Cat 6A S/FTP with a halogen-free LSZH jacket and 26 AWG conductors, and the adapter is powered from the USB port with no external supply.

Compatibility Note: Requires a USB-A port; USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) or faster is needed for full Gigabit speed. The RJ45 end plugs into the network directly, so no separate patch cable is needed.
