Digitus FTTH Pre-Terminated Blow-In Drop Cable, LC/APC, Singlemode G.657.A2, 50 m
OS2 · 9/125 µmLC/APC ↔ LC/APCBlow-in · 1 fibre50 m
The Digitus DK-3901LCA-50 is a 50 m pre-terminated FTTH drop cable with one ITU-T G.657.A2 singlemode fibre and factory-fitted LC/APC connectors on both ends, built for fibre-to-the-home installers who blow fibre into microducts.
Because both ends are already terminated and tested in the factory, the cable is blown through the microduct and plugged in — no fusion splicer, no pigtails and no splice tray at the subscriber end. The 2.8 mm PE jacket, aramid strength members and a G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fibre keep losses low around the tight bends of a home installation.
Before you order: APC connectors (green, 8° angled end-face) only mate with APC ports and APC couplers. Plugging an APC connector into a UPC port (blue) causes high loss and can damage both end-faces — check that the ONT/ONU and the distribution point are APC before ordering.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Digitus FTTH drop cable, 50 m, singlemode G.657.A2, LC/APC on both ends
- Transceivers, couplers and patch panels are not included
What It Means in Practice
- Blow the cable through the microduct from the distribution point to the home and plug it straight into the APC ports — no splicing on site.
- G.657.A2 fibre tolerates tight routing (bend radius from 10 mm) around corners, sockets and wall boxes.
- Plan the route length: 50 m is fixed and cannot be shortened without re-terminating the fibre.
- One fibre per cable — typical for GPON/XGS-PON single-fibre services.
What Will Not Work
- Multimode SR/SX transceivers (850 nm) — they need OM3/OM4/OM5 cable.
- UPC ports, UPC couplers or standard SFP modules with UPC receptacles — APC and UPC must never be mated.
- Ports of another connector type (SC, ST, MPO/MTP, E2000) without the right hybrid cable or adapter.
- Runs longer than 50 m or direct burial outdoors — this is a pre-terminated drop for microducts, and Digitus lists the application as indoor.
Key Features
Factory-terminated LC/APC
Both ends arrive polished and tested (IL ≤ 0.3 dB, RL ≥ 60 dB), so the installer does not need a splicer at the home.
Blow-in design
Slim 2.8 mm PE jacket with aramid strength members, made to be blown through microducts.
G.657.A2 fibre
Bend-insensitive singlemode fibre for tight indoor routing, minimum operating bend radius 10 mm.
Bend protection
Each connector has a 4.4 mm bend-protection sleeve and a 5.6 mm stopper.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I recognise APC ports?
APC connectors and couplers are normally green and have an 8° angled ferrule; UPC ones are blue (singlemode) or beige/aqua (multimode). If in doubt, check the device datasheet or send us the model.
Can I cut the cable to length?
Not without losing a factory connector — you would need to re-terminate or splice that end. Choose the length that covers the route with some slack.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Pre-terminated drop cables trade flexibility for speed: no splicer and no splice tray at the home, but the length is fixed, so measure the duct route first. The fibre side is standard G.657.A2 singlemode with LC/APC, the same as most ONT inputs and FTTH distribution boxes; on the network side the same family also connects to
switches with SFP/SFP+ ports when used with APC-compatible optics.
✓ Buy it if you install FTTH drops into microducts and want factory-terminated LC/APC ends.
✕ Skip it if your equipment has UPC (blue) ports — order the UPC version instead.
→ Also consider shorter or longer pre-terminated drops from the same Digitus FTTH family, and APC couplers for the distribution box.
Not sure which fibre or connector you have? Send us the model of your switch, transceiver or patch panel and we will check it before you order.
