The Digitus pre-assembled fiber optic breakout cable is a 50-metre OM4 multimode trunk with 8 fibres, factory-terminated with LC/UPC connectors on both ends, for building backbone links between racks, rooms or floors without on-site splicing.
Because it arrives ready-terminated and tested, you pull it, open the protective pulling sleeves and plug the LC connectors straight into patch panels or switches. Eight fibres give you four duplex links (or spare fibres for growth) in one cable with a 6 mm diameter.
Before you order: Check the length before ordering: pre-terminated cables cannot be shortened, so measure the real route including slack loops at both racks.

- 8 × LC/UPC connectors on each end, protected by a pulling aid with protective tube on both sides
What It Means in Practice
- Eight fibres = up to four duplex 10G/40G-capable multimode links (depending on the optics), or two links plus spares.
- No fusion splicing on site — ideal when you have no splicing equipment or need the link the same day.
- The protective tube (30.5 mm outer diameter) and ring band must pass through your ducts and cable entries; check that openings are large enough.
- LSOH halogen-free jacket with CPR class Dca suits indoor building installations.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work with single-mode (OS2) optics or single-mode patch panels.
- LC/UPC only — it will not plug into SC, ST or MPO ports without adapters, and it is not APC.
- It cannot be cut to length; a shorter route still needs the full 50 m to be stored as slack.
- No outdoor rating is published, so do not use it for direct burial or exposed outdoor runs.
