The Digitus DN-19 04U-PB is a low-profile 19-inch wall mounting cabinet from the SoHo Slim series, with 5 rack units split into a 3U swing-out front frame and a 2U fixed rear section, built for patch panels, small switches and network gear in offices, shops and home installations.
It is only 145 mm high, 525 mm wide and 475 mm deep, so it fits on a wall above a desk or behind a counter where a classic 600 mm deep wall cabinet would be too bulky. The upper part with the glass door opens upwards, and the front 3U frame swings out so you can reach the back of a patch panel or switch without taking anything off the wall. Note that the part number says 04U, but Digitus specifies the cabinet as 5 units in total.
Before you order: The usable installation depth is approximately 265 mm. Most patch panels, cable managers and compact desktop-class switches fit; full-depth rack switches, servers, NAS units and rack UPS do not.

What It Means in Practice
- Two zones: the 3U front frame swings out for access to the back of patch panels, the 2U rear rail suits a small switch or a fibre/copper patch field.
- The cabinet arrives assembled — you only drill, hang and earth it.
- Pre-punched cable knock-outs, ventilation slots and cable tie points keep a tidy small installation without an extra cable manager.
- The glass door with lock keeps cables visible but protected from accidental unplugging in shops and receptions.
What Will Not Work
- Equipment deeper than about 265 mm — typical 1U managed switches with rear fans, servers, NAS or rack UPS will not fit.
- More than 5U of equipment, or loads above 30 kg.
- Floor standing use or IP-rated (outdoor/dusty) locations — it is IP20, indoor only.
- A black office décor: this is the light grey RAL 7035 version; the black twin is a different part number (DN-19 04U-PB-B).
