The DIGITUS DK-1644-005/OR is a 0.5 m orange Cat 6 S/FTP patch cable with fully shielded copper pairs, made for Gigabit connections in racks, patch panels and electrically noisy environments.

Part number DK-1644-005/OR is tested to 250 MHz to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173, uses 4 × 2 AWG 27/7 copper pairs in metal foil plus an overall braid, a halogen-free LSOH jacket and red Cat 6 plug housings. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility Note
Works with any RJ45 Ethernet port. The S/FTP shielding gives its full benefit when the patch panel or switch at both ends has shielded, earthed ports; on unshielded equipment it simply behaves like a good Cat 6 cord. Cat 6 runs Gigabit over 100 m and 10GBASE-T only on short runs (about 55 m). DIGITUS publishes no PoE class for this cord.

What does S/FTP mean on the DIGITUS DK-1644-005/OR?
S/FTP means each twisted pair has its own foil screen and the cable has an overall braided shield. It is the best-shielded Cat 6 construction, reducing crosstalk and external interference.
Can I use the DK-1644-005/OR for 10 Gigabit?
Cat 6 is specified for 10GBASE-T only up to about 55 m, so a 0.5 m patch works in practice. For guaranteed 10G across a full channel, choose the Cat 6A DIGITUS DK-1644-A series.
Which colours are available?
This is the orange version. The DK-1644 Cat 6 S/FTP line comes in several colours (grey, white, black, blue, green, red, yellow, orange and more) so you can colour-code servers, uplinks and PoE devices.
