DIGITUS DA-70118 USB to PS/2 Adapter

Keyboard and mouse2 x Mini-DIN 6 femaleNo drivers needed
The DIGITUS DA-70118 is an adapter that connects a PS/2 keyboard and a PS/2 mouse to a single USB-A port, turning one USB connection into two Mini-DIN 6 sockets. Part number DA-70118 is the practical way to keep a trusted mechanical keyboard, an industrial console or a KVM-era mouse working on a modern PC that no longer has PS/2 headers, and the connected devices draw their power from the USB bus.
Good to know: This is a PS/2 to USB adapter, not a USB-C product: the host end is a classic rectangular USB-A plug. It carries keyboard and mouse input only, so it will not work with other PS/2 peripherals such as barcode wedges that expect a keyboard-wedge pass-through, and special keys handled by vendor software may not be mapped.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my old PS/2 keyboard work on a modern PC with this adapter?
In almost all cases yes: the adapter presents the keyboard and mouse to the system as standard USB HID devices, so Windows and macOS load their built-in drivers. Keyboards that rely on vendor software for macro or media keys may lose those extra functions.
Can I connect only a mouse, or only a keyboard?
Yes. Either Mini-DIN 6 port can be left empty, so it also works as a simple single-device adapter. Just check that each device goes into its matching port, since PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors are keyed the same but assigned differently.
Singular Expert Insight
Adapters like this are bought for one reason: a keyboard, a console or a piece of lab and industrial equipment that still ends in a PS/2 plug and works too well to replace. DIGITUS keeps it simple and driver-free, which is what you want on a machine you cannot install software on. Note it is USB 1.1 class, which is plenty for input devices and irrelevant elsewhere.
✓ Buy it if you need to keep a PS/2 keyboard or mouse running on a PC that only has USB ports.
✕ Skip it if your peripherals already use USB, or you need a USB-C host connection.
→ Also consider a USB-A to USB-C adapter such as the i-tec C31TYPEA if the port you have is USB-C.
