Digitus DA-90439 Vertical Notebook Stand — park a closed laptop upright and win back desk space
Vertical stand7.7–40 mm adjustable slot10 kg loadAluminium
The Digitus DA-90439 is a silver aluminium vertical notebook stand with an adjustable 7.7–40 mm slot, rated for 10 kg, for anyone who runs a closed laptop with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse and wants it off the desk surface.
Because the slot width is adjustable rather than fixed, the same stand holds a thin ultrabook, a thicker business notebook or a tablet — silicone pads inside the slot grip the device without scratching it, and anti-slip feet keep the base planted.
Before you order: The stand holds devices from 7.7 mm to 40 mm thick. Measure your laptop at its thickest point (including rubber feet) — very thin tablets under 7.7 mm will sit loose and thick gaming laptops over 40 mm will not fit.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Digitus DA-90439 vertical notebook stand (silver aluminium)
- Mounting material for the adjustable slot
- Quick installation guide
What It Means in Practice
- Ideal for "clamshell" mode: laptop closed, connected to a monitor or docking station, standing upright beside it.
- Takes a footprint of only 15 x 9.2 cm on the desk.
- Standing vertically leaves both sides of the chassis exposed to air, which Digitus notes helps cooling.
- Adjust the slot once to your device; it then works as a quick drop-in holder at the end of the day.
What Will Not Work
- Not a laptop riser — you cannot type on or view an open laptop in it.
- Devices thinner than 7.7 mm or thicker than 40 mm will not be held securely.
- Not designed for loads above 10 kg.
- Check that your laptop can run with the lid closed and ports facing up or sideways — some cooling vents on the underside face the slot.
Key Features
Adjustable slot
Width adjusts from 7.7 to 40 mm, so one stand covers ultrabooks, business notebooks and tablets.
Aluminium build
Solid silver aluminium body that matches most notebook finishes.
Device-friendly grip
Silicone pads inside the slot protect the chassis; anti-slip pads underneath keep it stable.
Small footprint
15 x 9.2 cm base, 4.3 cm high — it uses far less space than a laptop lying flat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A vertical stand only makes sense when the laptop lives closed on a desk next to a monitor. Set it up together with a docking station and you get a one-cable workstation where the notebook simply drops into the slot when you sit down.
✓ Buy it if you run your laptop closed with an external screen and want it upright, stable and off the desk.
✕ Skip it if you want to raise an open laptop to eye level — choose a tilt riser instead.
→ Also consider a height-adjustable laptop riser if you type on the laptop itself.
