The Digitus DN-82160 is a Gigabit media converter with a fixed SC single-mode transceiver (1000BASE-LX, 1310 nm, up to 20 km) and an RJ45 port that supplies IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ power of up to 30 W.

It brings a single powered device — an IP camera, access point or VoIP phone — onto a fibre network over long single-mode runs between buildings or across a site, with no SFP to source and the power adapter in the box.

Before you order: Single-mode only: it will not link over multimode fibre, and the far end must be a 1000BASE-LX 1310 nm single-mode device (SC, or LC with an LC–SC patch cord).

What goes at the other end?

Which PoE pins does it use?
Digitus specifies power on pins 4/5 and 7/8 (spare pairs). Standard 802.3af/at devices accept this automatically.
