The DIGITUS DN-91612S-EA is a 12-port Cat 6A shielded 10-inch 1U patch panel in black (RAL 9005). It mounts in a 10-inch rack or cabinet and takes up 1U. Installation cable is punched down on the back with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, and the 12 RJ45 sockets on the front take ordinary patch cords, rated for 10 Gbit/s (10GBase-T). In practice it gives the cables coming from wall outlets and ceilings a fixed, labelled end point next to your switch, so that moves and changes are made with short patch cords at the panel instead of re-terminating installation cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the black 10-inch model — the same panel in grey is DN-91612S-EA-G, and it is not a 19-inch panel. The ports are fixed and terminated with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, which is not in the box. As a shielded panel it only gives its full screening with shielded cable and a grounded rack or earth point; DIGITUS lists no earthing wire in the box. It is 10-inch (254 mm) wide and will not fill a 19-inch rack without a mounting adapter. Not sure it matches your cabling? Send us the cable type and the rack or cabinet model and we check it.
