DN-95421 sits inline on one Ethernet/PoE link to protect against voltage surges. Its shielded RJ45 input and output support Gigabit Ethernet and PoE/PoE+/PoE++. The grey metal housing clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail indoors.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Effective protection requires connection to a grounded conductor via the DIN rail. Check voltage, current and the complete PoE link budget. This protector does not generate PoE power, and IP40 does not permit exposure to water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it supply 120 W of PoE power?
No. 120 W is the manufacturer’s maximum electrical pass-through rating. The QIG separately references 110 W PoE++ support. Power available at the device depends on the source, cable and complete PoE budget.
Does 10 kV protection apply in every situation?
It refers to a common-mode 10/700 µs test. The differential-mode rating is 1.5 kV. Specified grounding is required and finite test ratings do not cover every surge event.
Can it sit beside an outdoor camera?
The protector is indoor-only with IP40. An outdoor-camera application needs a suitable indoor location for DN-95421 and proper grounding, as shown in the manufacturer’s diagram.
