The DIGITUS DS-30000-1 is a PCI Express expansion card that adds two male DB9 RS232 serial ports to a compatible desktop PC. It uses an ASIX AX99100 chipset and UART 16C950 interfaces, with a manufacturer-rated serial transfer rate of up to 1.5 Mbps. Compatibility — check before buying:
This is an internal PCI Express expansion card, not a USB adapter. Your desktop needs an available compatible PCIe slot. Both serial connectors are male DB9 RS232, so check the connector gender required by your serial equipment.
