DIGITUS DS-30020-1 — 1-Port Parallel PCIe Card
1 x DB25 femaleUp to 1.5 MbpsASIX AX99100PCI Express 2.0
The DIGITUS DS-30020-1 is an internal PCI Express interface card that adds one female DB25 parallel port to a compatible desktop PC. The current manufacturer specification identifies an ASIX AX99100 chipset, PCI Express 2.0 compliance and a parallel transfer rate of up to 1.5 Mbps, making it suitable for compatible legacy printers and other parallel peripherals.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is an internal PCI Express card, not a USB parallel adapter. Your desktop must have an available compatible PCIe slot, and the connected peripheral must use a DB25 parallel interface. DIGITUS currently lists Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP, plus macOS X and Linux support. A low-profile bracket is included.
Best For
✓ Adding a parallel port to a desktop PC
✓ Legacy parallel printers and peripherals
✓ Systems requiring ECP parallel support
✓ Compatible standard or low-profile PCs
Key Features
DB25 parallel connectivity
The card adds one female DSUB 25 parallel interface to a compatible PC, providing a direct connection for suitable legacy parallel devices.
ASIX AX99100 chipset
DIGITUS's current datasheet specifies the AX99100 controller for this revision, replacing older specifications that referenced a different chipset.
Up to 1.5 Mbps
The current manufacturer datasheet rates the parallel data transfer speed at up to 1.5 Mbps and lists Enhanced Capability Port support.
Low-profile bracket included
A low-profile slot bracket is supplied with the card, providing an installation option for compatible compact desktop chassis.

Singular Expert Insight
The DS-30020-1 is intended for PCs that still need a native-style parallel connection for legacy equipment. One detail worth checking is the hardware revision: older syndicated specifications for this same part number reference an OXPCIe952 controller, PCIe 1.1 and different speed figures, while DIGITUS's current official datasheet specifies the AX99100 chipset, PCIe 2.0 and up to 1.5 Mbps. For a current listing, the manufacturer specification is the appropriate reference.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need one DB25 parallel interface on a desktop PC and have a compatible free PCI Express slot.
Skip it if
You need a USB adapter, an RS232 serial port or your peripheral uses a connector other than DB25 parallel.
Good to know
The package includes the PCIe parallel card, a low-profile bracket, driver CD and manual.
