The DIGITUS DN-FO-CC-1 is a hand-held cleaner for the end faces of fiber optic connectors, rated for about 400 cleanings. It handles LC, SC, FC, ST, D4, MU, MT and DIN connectors and is meant for technicians and network administrators who patch, test or troubleshoot fiber links.

Dirt on a connector end face is the most common cause of high attenuation and link errors on fiber. Cleaning every connector before it is mated — including brand-new patch cords — is standard practice, and a dedicated cleaner does it quickly without solvents or lint-producing wipes.
