The DIGITUS DS-55351 is an HDMI-over-IP extender set that sends 4K UHD video at up to 60Hz (4096x2160) over CAT 6 or better network cable: up to 200 m on a direct point-to-point run, or across your Gigabit network through standard switches. With additional DS-55352 receivers, one source can feed up to 253 displays — the backbone of digital signage, video walls of identical content, corporate displays and education installs.
Each switch-to-unit section can be up to 120 m, and cascading through switches removes the distance limit altogether. An IR channel lets the source be controlled from the display end, and the compact metal units are designed for wall mounting.
Before you order: Point-to-point reaches 200 m; in point-to-multipoint (through a switch) each section is up to 120 m. Use Gigabit (1G) switches and plan the network: 4K video streams use significant bandwidth, so a dedicated switch or VLAN is recommended. Latency is 150–220 ms at 4K/60 and 80–130 ms in Full HD.

What It Means in Practice
- Start with a single cable between TX and RX; add a Gigabit switch and DS-55352 receivers when you need more screens.
- Each receiver shows the same source — ideal for menus, announcements and campus-wide information screens.
- The IR link lets you change the source content from a remote screen with the source’s own remote.
- Protection against short circuit, overvoltage and ESD on the units.
What Will Not Work
- No keyboard/mouse (KVM) — see DS-55355 for the KVM version.
- No video wall splitting or matrix switching between multiple sources is published for this set.
- Not wireless; CAT 6 or better cable is required.
- Additional receivers are sold separately (DS-55352).
- Not for outdoor use.
