DIGITUS DS-55338 4K HDMI Splitter, 1x8, with Downscaler
4K 60Hz1 in · 8 outHDR · HDCP 2.2Downscaler
The DIGITUS DS-55338 is a 1x8 HDMI 2.0 splitter that distributes one source to eight displays at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour. It targets digital signage networks, sports bars, lecture halls and showrooms that run many screens from a single player or PC.
An integrated downscaler lets 4K and Full HD displays be driven at the same time, and a three-position EDID switch (Auto, Copy, Downscaler) controls how the format is negotiated. HDR, 36-bit Deep Color and HDCP 2.2 are supported over 18 Gbps.
Compatibility note: The DS-55338 passes DTS, Dolby Digital and LPCM audio but has no separate audio extraction outputs; connect a soundbar or AV receiver to one of the HDMI outputs.
Key Features
Eight 4K 60Hz outputs
18 Gbps bandwidth carries UHD 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma, HDR and Deep Color 36-bit to all eight HDMI outputs simultaneously.
Downscaler for mixed screens
The built-in downscaler converts the 4K signal for Full HD displays, so older 1080p TVs and new 4K panels can share one source without forcing everything down to 1080p.
Three EDID modes
The EDID switch offers Auto, Copy and Downscaler modes, giving installers control over which resolution the source outputs in multi-display setups.

Singular Expert Insight
The DIGITUS DS-55338 is our recommendation for eight-screen 4K installations where the displays are not all the same generation, thanks to its downscaler and EDID modes. The Manhattan 208451 is a direct alternative with cascading and a three-year warranty, while the Club 3D CSV-1383 is a straightforward 4K60 1x8 unit without scaling. Compare all video splitters.
✓ Buy it if you need eight 4K 60Hz HDR outputs and some displays are Full HD.
✕ Skip it if you need separate optical or analogue audio outputs.
→ Also consider Manhattan 208451 for cascading support, or DIGITUS DS-55337 for a four-output 4K version.
