The DIGITUS DN-19 LIGHT-3 is a 300 mm, 3 W LED light for 19-inch network and server cabinets that switches on automatically when the door opens, so you can see patch panel labels, ports and cable runs without holding a torch.
It produces 233 lumens of 6500K daylight-white light, mounts with a magnetic strip or screws, horizontally or vertically, and runs from a 100–240 V power adapter at 12 V DC. An IR sensor with a 4–5 cm range lets you choose between automatic door mode and touch (manual on/off) mode.
Before you order: The power adapter has a Euro plug (CEE 7/16, Type C). In Cyprus you need a Euro-to-UK socket adapter, or a PDU/socket inside the cabinet that accepts Euro plugs.

What It Means in Practice
- Door mode: place the sensor near the door edge and the light turns on as soon as the door opens — hands-free lighting for patching work.
- Touch mode: wave a hand within 4–5 cm to switch the light on and off manually.
- The magnetic strip sticks to steel cabinet frames without drilling; screws are included for a permanent fit.
- 3 W consumption means it can stay installed permanently without meaningful running cost.
What Will Not Work
- Direct connection to a UK/Cyprus Type G wall socket — the adapter has a Euro plug.
- Mounting on aluminium, glass or plastic surfaces with the magnet — use the screws instead.
- Motion detection across the cabinet — the IR sensor range is only 4–5 cm, so it must sit near the door or where you reach.
- Powering from a USB port or PoE — it needs its own 12 V DC mains adapter.
