Unshielded U/UTP works with any RJ45 port, shielded or not, and is the right match for unshielded installations. For environments with heavy electrical interference, or a shielded cabling system, choose an S/FTP cord. Cat 6 is ideal for Gigabit and 2.5/5GBASE-T; for guaranteed 10GBASE-T use Cat 6A.
