DIGITUS Cat 5e U/UTP Patch Cable 1 m Black

Cat 5e · 100 MHzU/UTP1 mPVCBlack

The DIGITUS DK-1512-010/BL is a 1 m Cat 5e U/UTP RJ45 patch cable in black, built for short desk, wall-outlet and rack patching. It is rated for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) at up to 100 MHz, uses stranded conductors (AWG 26/7) and a PVC jacket. The manufacturer part number is DK-1512-010/BL (EAN 4016032317838). Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility note
Cat 5e is rated to 100 MHz and fully supports 1 Gbps (and 2.5GBASE-T on short runs). For 10 GbE ports or new structured cabling, choose a Cat 6A cord instead.

Key Features

Cat 5e performance at 100 MHz
Rated Cat 5e Class D up to 100 MHz — enough headroom for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) links between switches, patch panels, routers, NAS units and desktops.

U/UTP construction
Four unshielded twisted pairs keep the cord light (0.02 kg) and easy to route — a simple, universal choice for PCs, printers, IP phones and switches.

PVC jacket and snagless boots
Booted RJ45 plugs with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection, plus a length marking on the boot. The transparent blue plug identifies Cat 5e at a glance in a mixed rack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DIGITUS DK-1512-010/BL support Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. Cat 5e at 100 MHz is the standard cable class for 1000BASE-T, and at 1 m it has ample margin for Gigabit links between a PC, switch, router or wall outlet.
Is this cable shielded?
No. DK-1512-010/BL is U/UTP (unshielded), which is ideal for office desks and racks. In areas with heavy electrical interference, choose an S/FTP cord.
What is the difference between Cat 5e and Cat 6 for a 1 m patch?
For Gigabit Ethernet at 1 m there is no practical speed difference. Cat 6 (250 MHz) gives more headroom and is preferable if you plan 2.5/5 GbE equipment.
Singular Expert Insight
A black 1 m Cat 5e cord is still the most economical way to patch Gigabit desks and printers, and DIGITUS's snagless boots survive repeated plugging better than bare plugs. If you are cabling a new rack or buying for multi-gig switches, a Cat 6 or Cat 6A cord costs little more. Browse our network switches to complete the link.
