The DIGITUS DB-300230-010-S adds one metre of reach to an existing USB-C connection without giving up what that connection carries: 5 Gbps of USB 3.2 Gen 1 data, 60 W of Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode video up to 4K 60 Hz all pass through. Part number DB-300230-010-S (EAN 4016032481188) uses copper conductors, 32 AWG, double shielding and a 4.3 mm TPE jacket, and remains backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt 3 devices.
Note on speed: this is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 extension rated by ASSMANN at 5 Gbps, not 10 Gbps. Put it in line with a 10 Gbps or 20 Gbps device and the whole link drops to 5 Gbps. Power is likewise capped at 60 W (20 V / 3 A), so a notebook that draws 65 W or more through USB-C will charge slowly or not at all with this cable in the path.

Singular Expert Insight
Extensions are where quiet compromises hide, and DIGITUS is unusually honest about this one: 5 Gbps and 60 W are printed in the datasheet rather than buried. That makes it easy to place — perfect behind a desk for a webcam, a dock, a keyboard or a monitor cable that is 30 cm too short, and the wrong choice in front of a fast NVMe enclosure or a 100 W notebook charger.
✓ Buy it if an existing USB-C cable is just too short and the devices on it are 5 Gbps or slower.
✕ Skip it if you are extending a 10 Gbps or 20 Gbps drive, or charging a notebook that needs more than 60 W.
→ Also consider a longer purpose-made cable such as the Equip 128357 (2 m, 10 Gbps, 100 W) instead of extending a short one.
