The white DS5502-LB is the Labs version of Zebra’s compact fixed-mount imager. It reads 1D/2D labels, including small and curved codes used in laboratory and pharmacy workflows, while its wipeable housing suits regular cleaning under the manufacturer’s instructions. This exact SKU is the scanner, with host cable and mounting solution selected separately.

Before you order:
Cable and mounts are separate, including the optional 3-in-1 and gooseneck stands. Any cable shown in product imagery illustrates connection. LB identifies the white Labs version; it does not imply the LL/DL driver-license parsing option or a pre-integrated laboratory information system.

Labs design, shared compact format
The white wipeable housing is intended for lab, pharmacy and admissions workstations. Follow the approved cleaner list; IP54 does not mean immersion or a claimed antimicrobial coating.
 
Separate trigger and presentation distances
The same barcode has different typical ranges by mode. UPC 13 mil is 4.1–62.7 cm in Trigger mode and 4.1–35.6 cm in Presentation mode. Match the installation to the required labels and handling.
 
Integrate capture into the actual workflow
USB or RS232 transfers decoded data to the host. Barcode capture alone does not identify or approve a specimen, medication or patient record; the configured application must perform the intended matching and validation.
