DURABLE SAFE 15 L Waste Basket — Self-Extinguishing Lid, Silver
15 litresFlame-extinguishing lidTÜV certifiedSteel, silver
The DURABLE SAFE 15 L round waste basket (330523) is a steel waste paper bin with a removable self-extinguishing lid that smothers a fire in the basket by cutting off its oxygen — a preventive fire-safety measure for offices, receptions, archives and smoking areas.
The steel body has a scratch-resistant epoxy coating, and the design is TÜV/GS certified. If paper in the basket catches fire, for example from a discarded cigarette, the tight-fitting lid stops the flames from spreading out of the bin.
Before you order: The extinguishing effect only works with the lid in place and without a bin liner. Do not use plastic bin bags in this basket.
What's in the Box
- 1 × DURABLE SAFE 15 L waste basket, silver
- 1 × self-extinguishing flame lid (fitted)
What It Means in Practice
- Lowers the risk of a small paper fire turning into a room fire — a sensible choice next to desks, printers and in smoking areas.
- 15 L is a typical under-desk size for one or two workplaces.
- Steel does not melt or burn like a plastic bin.
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild cleaner; no abrasives.
What Will Not Work
- It does not work with plastic bin liners — these defeat the self-extinguishing function.
- It is designed for waste paper, not for burning liquids or chemicals.
- It is not a substitute for a fire extinguisher or smoke detector.
- It is for indoor use and is not stackable.
