DYMO part 1868705 is a cartridge of 150 pre-sized, die-cut Laminated Wire/Cable Wrap labels measuring 21 x 39 mm. It is not a general-purpose vinyl label: the printed area is a small white block at one end and the rest of the label is clear film that wraps back over the print, so the marking is sealed inside the wrap and survives handling in a cabinet or trunking. Each label is 157 µm thick flexible vinyl film with a permanent acrylic adhesive, and the cartridge drops straight into a DYMO label printer from the XTL range.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Fits the DYMO XTL 300 and DYMO XTL 500 only. XTL cartridges are not interchangeable with D1, LetraTag, RHINO IND or LabelWriter media — each of those is a separate, mutually incompatible system. DYMO also notes that laminated cable wrap can only be printed from pre-sized cable-wrap cartridges, so a continuous XTL roll will not produce this label format.

Self-laminating construction
The clear tail of each label wraps over the printed block, so the text sits under a layer of vinyl film. Abrasion from pulling cables through a duct does not rub the print away.
Permanent acrylic adhesive
Pressure-sensitive acrylic with 380 g/cm² tack (ASTM D2979) and 18 N/25 mm adhesion to stainless steel after 72 hours. Apply at 10 °C or warmer for a reliable bond.
Pre-sized, not continuous
150 die-cut labels per cartridge means no measuring and no waste tail — every label comes out at the same 21 x 39 mm size.
Certified and halogen-free
UL969 recognised component (File MH48389), REACH and RoHS compliant, halogen-free film. Two-year shelf life in standard storage.

The thing people get wrong with 1868705 is buying it expecting a plain rectangular label. It is a wrap: only the white block prints, and the clear tail is meant to go round the cable and back over itself. If what you actually want is a flat identification label for a faceplate or an asset, you want a different XTL cartridge — ask us and we will match the part number to the surface.
