Edifier HECATE Air 2 — Open-Ear Gaming Earbuds

Open-Ear Design14.2mm DriversBluetooth 5.3RGB Charging Case
The Edifier HECATE Air 2 (AIR2-BK) is an open-ear, air-conduction true wireless earbud set with soft silicone ear-hooks that rest outside the ear canal, keeping you aware of your surroundings. Driven by large 14.2 mm drivers over Bluetooth 5.3 with a low-latency game mode, it suits gamers, runners and cyclists who want audio and awareness at the same time. Part number AIR2-BK. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility & good to know: Pairs over Bluetooth 5.3 with any phone, tablet or laptop and uses the SBC codec. Because it is an open-ear design, it does not seal the ear canal - you keep hearing your surroundings, but bass and isolation are lighter than in-ear earbuds, and it is not intended for blocking out noise. Its noise reduction is an ENC mic for calls, not ANC.

Key Features

Open-Ear Air-Conduction
Soft ear-hooks sit just outside the ear canal so you hear your music and your surroundings at once - ideal for outdoor exercise and long gaming sessions.

14.2mm Drivers & Game Mode
Large 14.2 mm drivers deliver fuller open-ear sound, while HECATE low-latency (LLAC) game mode keeps audio tightly in sync with the on-screen action.

RGB Case & 28h Battery
Up to 10 hours per charge and up to 28 hours in total from a transparent RGB charging case, with USB-C charging and an ENC microphone for calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is open-ear different from normal earbuds?
Open-ear buds rest outside the ear canal instead of sealing it, so you stay aware of traffic, teammates and announcements. Expect lighter bass and less isolation than sealed in-ear designs.
Is it good for gaming?
Yes. A HECATE low-latency game mode keeps audio synced with on-screen action, and the open, hooked design stays comfortable through long sessions.
Does it cancel noise?
It uses an ENC microphone to reduce background noise on calls. As an open-ear design it does not seal the ear or provide active noise cancellation for listening.
Singular Expert Insight
The Air 2 is a niche pick done well - if awareness and all-day comfort matter more than deep bass or isolation, its open-ear design, 14.2 mm drivers, low-latency game mode and RGB case make it a fun choice for runners, cyclists and gamers. If you would rather block out noise, look at an in-ear ANC model in our earbuds & true wireless range, or a sealed over-ear option in gaming headsets.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if

You run, cycle or game and want music plus full awareness of your surroundings, with a comfortable open-ear fit and an RGB charging case.

Skip it if

You want deep bass, noise isolation or active noise cancellation for commuting and flights.

Also consider

An in-ear ANC set for isolation, or a sealed gaming headset for immersive, private audio.
