The Edimax Pro GS-3008P is a compact, fanless 8-port Gigabit desktop switch in which ports 1-4 supply PoE+, made for small offices, shops and homes that want to power a few cameras, phones or access points and still have four extra Gigabit ports for PCs, printers or a recorder.

Each PoE+ port delivers up to 30W (IEEE 802.3af/at) and long-range mode extends PoE and data to 200 m at 10 Mbps. A simple web interface adds 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping and loop detection.

Before you order: Only ports 1-4 have PoE. Edimax's specification table lists a 60W PoE budget (its feature text mentions 72W) — plan your devices against 60W to be safe.
