The EFB-Elektronik 37596.1 is a Cat.7 connecting module rated up to 600 MHz, with LSA insulation-displacement (IDC) terminal strips on both ends in a black housing. EFB designs it to extend installation cable or to reconnect damaged cables without having to install a complete new cable segment. In practice, when a cable in a wall, ceiling or floor duct has been cut, chewed or is simply a little short, you punch both ends into this module and close it — the run is restored in minutes.
Compatibility — check before buying:
For installation cable only. Both ends are LSA punch-down terminals, so you need an LSA insertion tool and solid installation cable; it has no RJ45 sockets and cannot join patch cords. EFB does not state shielding, AWG range or dimensions on its product page, so check your cable before ordering. A splice adds a connection point to the channel; for a certified link, measure the run after the repair. Tell us the model you have and we check it before you order.
