The Techly IADAP-HDMI-606 is a compact passive adapter with a 19-pin HDMI male plug on one side and a DVI-D 24+1 female socket on the other, so you can use an existing DVI cable with an HDMI port.
Typical uses: a PC or graphics card with HDMI output connected to an older DVI monitor through its DVI cable, or a DVI source feeding an HDMI display. Techly states support up to 4K@30Hz, a fully shielded body against EMI, a PVC-coated cast housing and gold-plated contacts.
Before you order: DVI carries video only — there is no audio over the DVI side. The adapter is passive and digital only: it does not convert to analog VGA.

- HDCP-protected content may not play on a DVI monitor that lacks HDCP support.

A passive HDMI-to-DVI adapter is the cheapest way to keep a good DVI monitor in service with a new PC or graphics card. If you are buying new, a monitor with HDMI or DisplayPort removes the adapter and adds audio.
