Before you buy
Two things the distributor title does not say: the conductors are CCA (copper-clad aluminium), not solid copper, and the jacket is PVC — not halogen-free. That is fine for everyday data links up to 2.5 Gbit/s, but CCA is a poor choice for PoE (higher resistance and heat) and PVC is not accepted where LSZH is mandatory. EFB publishes no PoE class for this cord — for PoE devices or LSZH areas choose a copper LSZH cord such as ECOLAN K551x Cat 6.

The K545x ECOLAN cords are a budget choice that does its job for desk and printer connections at up to 2.5 Gbit/s — the shielded SF/UTP build is a nice extra at this price. Be aware of the CCA conductors and PVC jacket, though: for PoE devices, server rooms or LSZH-regulated buildings we recommend the copper ECOLAN K551x Cat 6 or MK6001 Cat 6A instead. Colour-code with the other K545x colours (grey K5455, yellow K5457, red K5458, green K5460) and link them to your network switches in tidy groups.
