EFB Elektronik HDMI-21-00007 HDMI 2.1 Fibre Optic Cable, 20 m
Full 48 Gbit/s HDMI 2.1 bandwidth over 20 m of thin, flexible hybrid fibre cable.
48 Gbit/s8K @ 60Hz · 4K @ 120Hz20 m AOCHDR · eARC
The EFB Elektronik HDMI-21-00007 is a 20 m active optical HDMI cable (AOC) with HDMI Type A male connectors, compatible with HDMI 2.1/2.0 and rated for 48 Gbit/s — enough for 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz over distances where passive copper cables fail.
Video travels over optical fibre inside a hybrid fibre/copper design, powered directly from the HDMI port so no external power supply is needed. The slim, halogen-free TPE jacket makes long runs through walls, ceilings and conduits much easier than thick copper cable.
Compatibility Note: AOC cables are directional: the ends are marked Source and Display and must be connected that way round. Protect the plugs when pulling the cable through conduits and do not kink the fibre.
Best For
✓ Projectors and ceiling installations
✓ Home cinema with 4K120/8K sources
✓ Conference and training rooms
✓ Gaming consoles to distant TVs
✓ AV racks and long wall runs
✓ Digital signage
Key Features
HDMI 2.1 bandwidth at 20 m
48 Gbit/s carries 8K60 and 4K120, including high-frame-rate gaming from PC and console sources.
Thin and light fibre design
The hybrid fibre construction is far thinner and lighter than 20 m copper, and immune to electromagnetic interference.
No extra power supply
The optical transceivers are powered from the HDMI port itself, so the cable installs like a standard HDMI lead.

Singular Expert Insight
For 20 m runs with 4K120 or 8K sources, an HDMI 2.1 AOC like this is the reliable choice — passive copper cannot hold 48 Gbit/s at this length. If your source is only 1080p or 4K30, a cheaper passive High Speed cable such as Equip 119359 is enough.
✓ Buy it if you need 4K120/8K HDMI over 20 m in a fixed installation.
✕ Skip it if you need a cable that can be plugged in either direction or frequently re-routed.
→ Also consider Lanberg CA-HDMI-30FB-0200-BK (20 m HDMI 2.1 AOC) or EFB HDMI-21-00008 for 30 m.
