The EFB-Elektronik 37489.1 is a Cat6 shielded (STP) modular coupler with two RJ45 female ports, made to join two patch cables into one longer link.
It has a metal housing and 1:1 pin assignment, so each pin connects straight through to the same pin on the other side. EFB-Elektronik, the German cabling manufacturer, classifies it as a connecting adapter for patch cables in its keystone and adapter range.
