The EFB-Elektronik 37486.1 is a Cat.6 shielded keystone coupler: a snap-in module with an RJ45 socket on each side, wired 1:1. It clips into any keystone opening — a blank patch panel, a surface box, a wall outlet or a desk socket — and lets you plug a patch cable in at the front and another at the back, with no punch-down work. The housing is metal for shield continuity, and a plastic snap-in latch holds it in the panel. In practice it is the quickest way to create a network port in a panel or box using ready-made patch cables instead of installation cable and tools.
Compatibility — check before buying:
A coupler, not a termination jack: both sides are RJ45 sockets, so you need a patch cable with RJ45 plugs on each side — it does not accept bare installation cable. It fits standard keystone openings; the snap-in latch is made for the usual keystone cut-out. It is Cat.6: for 10 Gbit links choose a Cat.6A coupler. Shielding only works end-to-end when the cables and the panel are shielded and grounded. Send us the panel model and we confirm the fit.
