The EFB-Elektronik E-20092 is a shielded RJ45 keystone jack for Cat.8 Class I (Cat8.1) installations, rated for 2000 MHz and 40 Gigabit Ethernet. You terminate the installation cable on its IDC contacts without special tools, then snap the module into a keystone patch panel, wall outlet or floor box. A compact cable organizer handles AWG 24/1 to AWG 22/1 conductors and carries the TIA/EIA 568 A and B colour codes, and a sliding shield contact adapts to different cable diameters up to 8.5 mm. The housing is zinc die-cast with 360° shielding, and the dust cap is captive. EFB states the module is Cat8.1 channel and permanent-link certified.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Built for Cat.8 / Cat.7A cable: the IDC accepts solid or stranded conductors of AWG 24–22 — thinner conductors such as AWG 26 (slim cables) are outside this range. Cable diameter up to 8.5 mm. Cat.8 bandwidth is only reached over short distances with Cat.8 cable and components end-to-end; for 10 Gbit links a Cat.6A keystone is usually enough.
