The EFB-Elektronik EBUSBC-USBC10GE.5 extends a USB-C connection by 5 m: a USB-C plug goes into the host (computer or laptop) and a USB-C socket at the other end takes the device’s cable. It is an active cable with a built-in chip, specified for USB 3.2 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gbit/s and backwards compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. It supplies up to 5 V / 1.5 A to the connected device and supports USB OTG. The jacket is TPE, double shielded, with gold-plated contacts. In practice it brings a USB-C webcam, SSD, card reader or hub to where you need it — across a meeting room or from a PC under the desk.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Data only: EFB states that this extension is a data cable — it does not carry video (no monitor through it) and does not pass USB Power Delivery for charging laptops. Devices get up to 5 V / 1.5 A. 10 Gbit/s needs a 10 Gbit host port; on slower ports it runs at their speed. The male end goes to the host, the female end to the device — it is directional.
