The EFB-Elektronik EK585.1V2 is a 1 m extension with an IEC C14 plug and a C15 hot-appliance socket. It connects equipment with a C16 high-temperature inlet — or any C14 inlet — to a UPS or PDU C13 outlet, and is used for devices that run warm such as some network switches, PoE injectors and rack equipment.

The black H05RN-F rubber cable (3G 1.0 mm²) is rated 250 V / 10 A and carries VDE and ENEC approvals.

Compatibility note: A C15 socket has a notch and fits both C14 and C16 inlets; a regular C13 socket does not fit a C16 inlet. The C14 end plugs into standard C13 outlets on UPS and PDUs.

What is the difference between C13 and C15?
C15 is the high-temperature version of C13, with a groove that lets it fit C16 inlets rated for hotter operation (up to 120 °C). A C15 socket also fits normal C14 inlets, but a C13 cannot go into a C16 inlet.
Why a rubber jacket?
Rubber (H05RN-F) stays flexible and resists heat and abrasion better than PVC, which suits warm equipment and frequently moved cables.
