The EIZO FlexScan EV2740X is a 27-inch 4K (3840x2160) IPS office monitor with a single-cable USB-C connection that carries video, USB data, wired network and up to 94W of laptop charging — built for desks where a laptop is docked all day and image comfort matters.
At 163 ppi the 4K panel gives sharp text at 150% scaling, which is what most spreadsheet, CAD-viewing and document work needs. EIZO adds an internal power supply, a 195 mm height-adjustable FlexStand that also swivels and rotates to portrait, an ambient light sensor and flicker-free backlight control, and covers it with a 5-year warranty.
Before you order: USB-C video needs a laptop port with DisplayPort Alt Mode (most Thunderbolt and many USB-C laptops). The 94W figure is the maximum the monitor supplies — a 100W+ workstation laptop will charge slower or need its own adapter.

What It Means in Practice
- One USB-C cable from a laptop gives the screen, the keyboard/mouse on the monitor hub, wired Gigabit Ethernet and charging — no separate dock needed for a typical office laptop.
- The RJ45 port gives the laptop a wired network connection through the monitor (Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.12 or later).
- Two PCs can stay connected (USB-C plus HDMI/DisplayPort) and be shown side by side with Picture-by-Picture.
- The stand rises 195 mm, tilts, swivels 90° and pivots to portrait, so it fits shared desks and different users without a monitor arm.
What Will Not Work
- No HDMI or DisplayPort cable is in the box — order one if a desktop PC connects that way.
- No DisplayPort output / daisy-chain: a second monitor cannot be chained from this one.
- It is a 60 Hz office panel, not a gaming monitor — no high refresh rate or HDR mode is published.
- A laptop USB-C port without DisplayPort Alt Mode (charging-only/data-only) will not show a picture.
