The Emtec Outdoor 32GB SDHC (ECMSD32GHCU1OR) is a full-size SD memory card rated Class 10 UHS-I U1 V10, made for Full HD (1080p) video, photos and everyday storage in digital cameras, camcorders, laptops with an SD slot and card readers.
The manufacturer quotes read speeds of up to 90 MB/s and write speeds of up to 20 MB/s. The Class 10 mark guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 10 MB/s, which is what keeps a camera recording Full HD video without dropped frames.
Before you order: This is an SDHC card (32 GB). It works in devices that carry the SDHC or SDXC logo. Very old devices that accept only plain SD cards (up to 2 GB) will not read it.

- Your device will show about 29.8 GB, not 32 GB: the manufacturer counts 1 GB as 1 billion bytes, while Windows, macOS and phones count in binary units. Nothing is missing.
- It comes formatted as FAT32, which limits single files to 4 GB. Cameras split long videos automatically; if you copy large files from a computer, reformat as exFAT first (only if your device supports it).
- Class 10 / U1 / V10 means at least 10 MB/s sustained write: right for Full HD recording, photos and dash or action cameras in 1080p mode.
- The 90 MB/s read figure is a maximum. To reach it on a computer you need a UHS-I card reader; a USB 2.0 reader or an older laptop slot will be slower.
What Will Not Work
- Devices limited to plain SD cards (2 GB maximum), mostly made before 2008.
- 4K or high-bitrate video on cameras and drones that require a U3 / V30 card. This card is Class 10 UHS-I U1 V10.
- Running Android apps from the card as if it were internal storage: no A1/A2 app-performance rating is published, so apps will feel slow.
- Phones, drones, action cameras and Nintendo Switch: they need a microSD card, not a full-size SD card.
- If you need 4K, do not order this code by mistake: the U3 V30 Outdoor 32GB is a different product (ECMSD32GHC10OR).
