EPOS ADAPT 165T USB-C II — Stereo Headset with a Microsoft Teams Button
Stereo on-ear, 145.3 gDetachable USB-C cableDedicated Teams buttonBoom folds into the headband
The EPOS ADAPT 165T USB-C II, article 1000906, is a double-sided headset that works as a Teams headset at the desk and as a plain analogue headset anywhere else. The headset itself ends in a 3.5 mm jack; the USB-C cable with the in-line call control detaches, and it is that cable which carries the dedicated Microsoft Teams button. The boom arm folds away into the headband and the ear cups fold flat, so it travels well between desk and bag.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The cable is USB-C. On a USB-A-only PC the Teams button and the USB audio path are unusable — the 3.5 mm jack still works, but then it is a passive analogue headset with no Teams button, no USB call control and no Teams certification. If your machines are USB-A, the right article is ADAPT 165T USB II, 1000902. The T is the Teams button. Without it, the ADAPT 165 USB-C II (1000920) is UC-optimized only. Two more near-identical articles worth knowing: ADAPT 135T USB-C II (1000904) is the single-sided version, and ADAPT 160T USB-C II (1000905) has foam pads, no 3.5 mm jack and no carry pouch. Note also that our feed still carries the old EPOS I SENNHEISER co-brand; EPOS publishes this as ADAPT 165T USB-C II, and it is an EPOS-era product with no Sennheiser-era name.
Best For
✓ Microsoft Teams deployments on USB-C laptops
✓ Staff who move between the desk and a phone or tablet
✓ Noisy offices where both ears should be covered
✓ Hot-desking, thanks to the fold-flat cups and pouch
✓ Users who want the boom out of the way when not on a call
✓ Fleets that prefer a replaceable cable to a replaceable headset
Key Features
Teams button on a detachable cable
A dedicated Microsoft Teams key on the in-line unit gives one-touch access to meetings. Because the cable detaches, a damaged cable is a spare part rather than a new headset.
3.5 mm headset, USB-C control cable
Unplug the cable and the headset is a straightforward 3.5 mm device for a phone or tablet. Plug it back in and you have Teams certification and full call control.
Folds away twice over
The boom arm folds into the headband and the ear cups fold flat, so the headset goes into a bag without the boom catching on everything. A carry pouch is in the box.
EPOS Voice and ActiveGard
Automatic profile switching between call and multimedia audio, with a 115 dB ActiveGard ceiling and a switchable EU Noise at Work limiter holding the daily average to 85 dB.

Singular Expert Insight
What makes this one worth its price is the split design: the headset is a plain 3.5 mm device, and everything clever — USB-C, call control, the Teams button, the certification — lives in a cable you can detach and replace. That is the right way round, because the cable is what fails. It also means one headset covers the Teams desk and the phone in your bag. The article number is where care is needed, because EPOS sells four near-identical ADAPT 165 and 135 variants and the differences are the connector, the Teams button, the pad material and whether there is a 3.5 mm jack at all. This one is stereo, USB-C, leatherette, with Teams. If the fleet is USB-A, ask for 1000902 instead. Our office and VoIP headsets range covers the wireless equivalents.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your organisation runs Microsoft Teams, the laptops have USB-C, and you want a stereo headset that also works as a plain 3.5 mm headset away from the desk.
Skip it if
Your machines are USB-A — order 1000902 — or you do not run Teams, in which case the cheaper ADAPT 165 USB-C II (1000920) is the same hardware without the Teams button.
Also consider
The USB-A version ADAPT 165T USB II (1000902) for older machines, and the single-sided ADAPT 135T USB-C II (1000904) for staff who need one ear open.
