EPOS ADAPT 560 II On-Ear Bluetooth Headset with Hybrid ANC, Foldable Boom Arm and BTD 800 USB-A Dongle
Hybrid ANC with 4 microphonesFoldable boom armUp to 41 h talk timeCarry case in the box
The EPOS ADAPT 560 II is the second generation of the ADAPT 500 Series: an on-ear, dual-sided Bluetooth headset with a boom arm that folds away into the headband when the call ends. Article 1001160 is supplied with the BTD 800 USB-A dongle for the computer, while Bluetooth 5.0 holds the phone at the same time. EPOS publishes hybrid ANC driven by four microphones, up to 41 hours of talk time with ANC off, and a headset weight of 232 g. The second generation brought a new headband and softer ear pads for long shifts.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The ADAPT 560 II and the ADAPT 561 II differ in one thing only: the dongle connector. This article ships the BTD 800 in USB-A and a USB-A cable with a USB-C end. Pick the one your machines have rather than adding an adapter. Two further things to know before ordering: there is no analogue 3.5 mm cable in this box — unlike the ADAPT 300 Series — so this will not plug into a legacy desk phone or an aircraft socket; and EPOS routes the dedicated Microsoft Teams button through the BTD 800 USB-A dongle, so Teams behaviour depends on the dongle being connected.
Best For
✓ Open-plan floors where both focus and calls matter
✓ Heavy call days that need a microphone near the mouth
✓ Hybrid staff moving between office, home and travel
✓ Microsoft Teams and UC softphone environments
✓ Users who want the headset folded flat into a case
✓ Desks connecting to a computer and a mobile together
Key Features
Hybrid ANC with four microphones
EPOS publishes hybrid ANC technology driven by four microphones on the ADAPT 500 II, which is a step above the two-microphone ANC arrangement of the 300 Series.
Foldable boom arm
Two beamforming MEMS microphones sit on a boom arm covering 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz. The arm rotates up into the headband when you are not on a call, and mutes as it does.
41 hours of talk time
Up to 46 hours of listening and 41 hours of talk with ANC off, dropping to 24 hours of each with ANC on, plus up to 81 days of standby. A full charge takes 3 hours 40 minutes.
Second-generation comfort
EPOS describes the II generation as a new headband and softer ear pads for long-term wearing comfort, on a dual-folding frame that packs into the supplied carry case.

Singular Expert Insight
Between the two ADAPT families the deciding factor is where the microphone sits. The 500 II puts two beamforming microphones on a boom arm near the mouth and adds hybrid ANC with four microphones, which is what you want on a noisy floor. The 300 Series keeps the microphones in the ear cups, is over-ear rather than on-ear, and is the only one of the two with an analogue cable in the box. Both are dual-connection: dongle to the computer, Bluetooth to the phone. Browse the range in Office and VoIP Headsets or compare with the music-first models in Headphones. Tell us your laptop port type and we will pick the right article number.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You take calls on a noisy floor and want a boom microphone plus hybrid ANC, with a USB-A dongle and a carry case in the box.
Skip it if
You need a 3.5 mm analogue connection, or your machines are USB-C only, in which case take the ADAPT 561 II.
Also consider
The EPOS ADAPT 360 or 361 for an over-ear headset with an analogue cable included, or the Jabra Evolve2 55 for an on-ear ANC alternative with a charging stand.
