EPOS IMPACT DW Pro 1 ML — Single-Sided DECT Headset with Base for Desk Phone and PC
Desk phone + PCDECT up to 180 mUltra noise-cancelling micExchangeable battery
The EPOS IMPACT DW Pro 1 ML – EU (article 1000533, order name DW 20 ML – EU) is a single-sided DECT wireless headset with a base station that connects to both a desk phone and a PC softphone. It is a proven office workhorse from the DW Office family, originally launched by Sennheiser: up to 180 m of line-of-sight range, up to 12 h of talk time, an ultra noise-cancelling microphone and EPOS ActiveGard hearing protection, in a light 65 g headband design. The ML version was built and certified for Microsoft Lync / Skype for Business.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Two things to know before you order. First, the microphone cancels noise, but the ear side has no active noise cancellation. Second, to answer the desk phone remotely you need an electronic hook switch (EHS) cable for your phone brand or the EPOS HSL 10 handset lifter — neither is in the box. EPOS lists Skype for Business (Lync) certification for this model, not Microsoft Teams; it works as a USB headset with Teams, but without Teams certification. If you only need a PC connection, the DW Pro 1 USB ML (1000544) has no desk-phone port. Send us your desk-phone model and we will confirm the right EHS cable or lifter.
Best For
✓ Receptionists who take desk-phone and PC calls
✓ Offices still running analog or digital desk phones
✓ Staff who walk away from the desk during calls
✓ Users who want one ear free for the room
✓ Long days — exchangeable battery
✓ Legacy Skype for Business deployments
Key Features
Desk phone and PC in one
The base connects to your desk phone and to your PC by USB, so one headset handles both lines. Remote answering is possible with an EHS cable or the HSL 10 lifter.
Range and wideband audio
DECT in the European 1880–1900 MHz band with up to 180 m line of sight (about 55 m in a typical office). Wideband audio covers 150 Hz–6.8 kHz for PC calls.
Battery you can change
Up to 12 h talk in narrowband or 8 h in wideband, up to 100 h standby, 50% in 20 minutes and full in 1 hour. The lithium-polymer battery is exchangeable.
Comfort and hearing safety
A 65 g single-sided headband with the boom wearable on the left or right. EPOS ActiveGard limits sudden loud sounds, and EPOS Voice tuning keeps speech natural.

Singular Expert Insight
The DW Pro 1 ML is a mature design, and its value is simple: one reliable DECT headset for a desk phone and a PC, with long range and an exchangeable battery. For new Teams-first rollouts a newer EPOS IMPACT D series or IMPACT 5000 model is usually the better fit; for offices that still depend on desk phones and Skype-era setups, this remains a sound choice. The double-sided sibling is the DW Pro 2. See all office and VoIP headsets and VoIP and desk phones.
