EPOS IMPACT SC 660 ANC USB Wired Double-Sided Headset with Switchable Active Noise Cancellation
Switchable ANCProximity sensor call handlingActiveGard hearing protection110 g on the head
The EPOS IMPACT SC 660 ANC USB is the one headset in the IMPACT 600 Series with active noise cancellation for the person wearing it, and it can be switched off when you want the room back. Article 1000650 is a double-sided wired USB headset weighing 110 g, with a neodymium speaker covering 50 Hz to 18,000 Hz and an ultra noise-cancelling boom microphone. A proximity sensor answers a call when you pick the headset up, puts it on hold when you take it off, and resumes it when you put it back on, which removes most of the reaching for the mouse during a busy shift.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The cable is fixed USB-A. On a USB-C-only laptop it needs a hub or an adapter, and EPOS does not publish a USB-C version of the ANC model. There is also no 3.5 mm jack and no Easy Disconnect on this article, so it cannot be used with a mobile or with a deskphone headset port. Watch the name as well: the IMPACT SC 660 USB ML is a different article with no ANC and no proximity sensor, and the SC 630 is the single-sided version. If a 3.5 mm jack with a detachable USB cable is what you actually want, that is the SC 665.
Best For
✓ Open-plan offices where the wearer needs quiet, not just the caller
✓ All-day softphone work on Teams, Webex or Avaya
✓ Seats that never move from the desk
✓ Users who prefer a headset with no battery to manage
✓ Environments with sudden loud sounds on the line
✓ Desks where picking the headset up should answer the call
Key Features
Switchable active noise cancellation
ANC here works for the wearer and can be turned on or off, which is unusual on a wired office headset. It is separate from the boom microphone noise cancelling, which works for the caller.
Proximity sensor call handling
Pick the headset up to answer, take it off to put the call on hold, put it back on to resume. Call control without touching the softphone.
ActiveGard hearing protection
EPOS ActiveGard protects against acoustic shock from sudden bursts on the line, with a published maximum sound pressure level of 118 dB.
Wired means ready
Powered over USB, so there is no battery, no charging stand and nothing to run flat halfway through a shift. It weighs 110 g with leatherette ear pads.

Singular Expert Insight
Within the IMPACT 600 Series the numbers do the work: 630 is single-sided, 660 is double-sided, and only the ANC article adds noise cancellation for the wearer and the proximity sensor. The SC 660 USB ML sits right beside it with neither feature, and the two are easy to confuse on a purchase order. The trade against a Bluetooth headset is mobility, and what you get back is a headset with no battery and a 3-year manufacturer term, which is longer than most wireless models in this category. The wired range is in Office and VoIP Headsets, and listening-first models sit in Headphones. Send us the article number and we will confirm the ANC version before ordering.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a wired desk headset that cancels noise for you as well as for the caller, answers calls when you pick it up, and never needs charging.
Skip it if
Your laptops are USB-C only, or the seat needs a mobile or a desk phone. There is no USB-C article and no analogue connection of any kind.
Also consider
The EPOS IMPACT SC 665 for a 3.5 mm headset with a detachable USB cable, or the ADAPT 560 II if the seat needs Bluetooth and a foldable boom arm.
