The EPOS IMPACT SC 75 USB MS, article 1000635, is a double-sided corded office headset built around a useful idea: the headset itself ends in a 3.5 mm jack, and the USB cable with the call-control unit detaches. Both ears are covered for concentration, both foam and leatherette ear pads are supplied so you can pick the feel, and EPOS ActiveGard limits sudden level spikes. EPOS publishes this today as IMPACT SC 75 USB MS; the older Sennheiser-era name was SC 75 USB MS, article 507086.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The USB cable is USB-A. EPOS sells a USB-A to USB-C adapter cable separately as article 1000832 if your machines have no USB-A port left — it is not in the box. Be careful with the article number: the single-sided twin is IMPACT SC 45 USB MS, article 1000634, one digit away with a nearly identical EAN and the same name apart from the number. 45 is mono at 102 g, 75 is stereo at 130 g. One more point worth knowing: the Microsoft Teams certification EPOS publishes for this part requires EPOS Connect installed. The Sennheiser-era version of this product was sold as certified for Skype for Business; what EPOS certifies today is Teams.

What is the difference between the SC 75 and the SC 45?
Ear count, and the article numbers are one apart. SC 75 USB MS (1000635) is double-sided at 130 g. SC 45 USB MS (1000634) is single-sided at 102 g. Everything else is the same. The EANs differ by a single digit too, so order by article number rather than by description.
Can I use it on a USB-C laptop?
Not directly — the supplied cable is USB-A. EPOS sells the adapter cable as article 1000832, and we can supply it with the headset. Alternatively, because the headset side ends in a plain 3.5 mm jack, it will work as an analogue headset on a device with a 3.5 mm headset port, though you then lose the in-line call controls.
Which ear pads should we use?
Both are in the box, so try them. The acoustic foam pads breathe better and suit long shifts in a warm room; the leatherette covers seal more and block more of the office. On a shared desk many teams keep foam on the headset and leatherette in the drawer.
Do I need to install anything for Microsoft Teams?
Yes — EPOS publishes the Teams certification for this part with the condition that EPOS Connect is installed. Without it the headset still works as a normal USB audio device, but the certified Teams integration is not active. EPOS Connect is a free download.
