The EPOS IMPACT SDW 5036T (1001037) is a black mono on-ear DECT wireless headset system with a base station and USB dongle that connects to your desk phone, PC softphone and mobile phone at the same time, certified for Microsoft Teams — for office workers who take calls from every source and want to walk away from the desk.

DECT gives a secure, dedicated link with up to 180 m range in line of sight and about 55 m in a typical office, so you can stay on a call while you fetch a document or check stock. Two digital MEMS noise-cancelling microphones focus on your voice, super wideband audio makes calls sound natural, and EPOS ActiveGard protects against sudden loud sounds. The headset charges on the base: 50% in 30 minutes and full in 1.5 hours. This EU/UK/AUS version uses the European DECT band.

Before you order: This is the single-sided (mono) model. If you prefer both ears covered, the duo version is the SDW 5066T. Remote answering on a desk phone (electronic hook switch or handset lifter) depends on your phone model — ask us before ordering.

What It Means in Practice

  • One headset for every call: desk phone through the base, Teams or softphone through USB or the dongle, and your mobile — switch between them on the headset.
  • Walk around the office or warehouse floor without dropping the call thanks to DECT range.
  • Up to 14 hours of talk time in narrowband (up to 9 hours in super wideband) covers a full working day.
  • Up to four headsets can join one base for a quick conference.
  • Manage settings and firmware with EPOS Connect, or centrally with EPOS Manager for IT teams.

What Will Not Work

  • The EU/UK/AUS DECT band does not work with US DECT bases or regions using other DECT frequencies.
  • Desk-phone answering/hanging up remotely needs an EHS cable or handset lifter compatible with your phone — check per model.
  • Mono design: one ear stays open, which suits busy offices but is not ideal in very noisy rooms.
  • No active noise cancellation on the speaker side — noise cancelling is on the microphones.
  • The Teams button works with the Teams desktop client.
