EPOS ADAPT 361 Over-Ear Bluetooth Headset with Active Noise Cancellation and BTD 800 USB-C Dongle
Up to 30 dB noise attenuationUp to 46 h listening time2 beamforming MEMS microphonesCarry case in the box
The EPOS ADAPT 361 is a dual-sided, over-ear Bluetooth headset that covers both ends of a hybrid working day: active noise cancellation for focus, and two beamforming microphones for calls. Article 1001008 is the version supplied with the BTD 800 USB-C dongle, so it connects to the computer through the dongle and to a phone over Bluetooth at the same time. EPOS publishes up to 46 hours of listening and up to 39 hours of talk time with ANC switched off, on a 600 mAh battery that charges in two and a half hours. There is no boom arm — the microphones sit in the ear cups.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The only difference between the ADAPT 360 and the ADAPT 361 is the dongle connector: the 361 ships the BTD 800 in USB-C, the 360 ships it in USB-A. Everything else — acoustics, battery, case, cable — is identical, so buy the connector your machines actually have rather than putting an adapter in the chain. Note also that the supplied analogue cable is 2.5 mm at the headset end and 3.5 mm at the device end, so an ordinary 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable will not fit the headset. The headset charges over USB-C, which is not the same thing as the dongle connector.
Best For
✓ Hybrid work that mixes focus time and calls
✓ Open-plan offices where noise is the problem
✓ Microsoft Teams and UC softphone calls
✓ Travel, with the carry case included
✓ Users who want music quality as well as call quality
✓ Desks that connect to a computer and a phone at once
Key Features
Active noise cancellation
EPOS publishes ANC with total noise attenuation of up to 30 dB, so the room drops away for focus work without moving desks.
Two beamforming microphones
Two beamforming MEMS microphones covering 80 Hz to 8,000 Hz sit in the ear cups — there is no boom arm to fold out before a call.
46 hours of listening
A 600 mAh lithium-polymer battery gives up to 46 hours of listening and up to 39 hours of talk time with ANC off, up to 62 days of standby, and charges in 2 hours 30 minutes.
Dual connection
The BTD 800 dongle handles the computer while Bluetooth 5.0 handles the phone, with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Low Latency codecs and a range of up to 25 m.

Singular Expert Insight
The ADAPT 300 Series is the over-ear, no-boom option: it looks like a consumer headphone, cancels up to 30 dB and still handles calls with two beamforming microphones. The trade against the ADAPT 500 Series is the microphone — a boom arm placed near the mouth is measurably better on a noisy floor than ear-cup microphones, and the 500 II adds hybrid ANC with four microphones. Where the 300 wins is weight on the head and the analogue cable in the box, which the 500 II does not include. Both live in Office and VoIP Headsets, with music-first alternatives in Headphones. Tell us whether your laptops are USB-A or USB-C and we will send the right article.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want one over-ear headset for both focus work and calls, with up to 30 dB of noise attenuation, 46 hours of listening and a USB-C dongle in the box.
Skip it if
Your machines are USB-A only — take the ADAPT 360 instead. Skip it too if you need a boom microphone for a noisy floor.
Also consider
The EPOS ADAPT 560 II or 561 II for a foldable boom arm and hybrid ANC with four microphones, or the Jabra Evolve2 55 for an on-ear ANC alternative.
