The Epson TM-J7200-301 (C31CF69301) is a fast inkjet hybrid POS printer designed for retail, hospitality, government and pharmacy environments where receipts need to survive longer than typical thermal output. Unlike thermal, inkjet output is highly water- and light-resistant — it does not fade, making the TM-J7200 ideal for archival receipts, prescriptions, tax-deductible invoices, lottery slips and any document required for long-term record-keeping.
This SKU is the "-301" configuration: black chassis, USB 2.0 + Ethernet on-board, cutter and auto-loading, EU power supply included, and without the optional MICR reader. It endorses the reverse side of personal cheques in a single pass thanks to Epson's inkjet head design.

✓ Long-life receipts (tax / pharma)
✓ Government & municipal payments
✓ Lottery / gaming venues
✓ Insurance & banking branches
✓ Supermarket front-end with slips
✓ Hospitality folios & A4 invoices
Key Features
Inkjet 600 dpi output
Significantly higher resolution than thermal — sharp logos, fine receipt text and crisp barcodes. The inkjet head also prints on standard paper, not just thermal media, so ink density and contrast last for years.
Water & light-resistant ink
Epson's inkjet ink formulation resists fading and water damage far better than thermal, making the TM-J7200 the right choice for archival receipts and government documents.
Single-pass cheque endorsement
The print head endorses the reverse side of a cheque in one pass — useful for banking and supermarket cheque handling even without the optional MICR reader.
Receipt + slip in one chassis
Drop-in 83 mm receipt roll plus an A4-capable slip path — print POS receipts, A4 invoices and multi-page slip documents from the same device.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why pick inkjet instead of thermal for a POS receipt?
Inkjet output uses water- and light-resistant pigment ink that does not fade or vanish under sunlight or moisture — required for tax-deductible receipts, prescriptions, government documents and any archival workflow where receipts must last years.
What does the "-301" suffix mean?
The 301 configuration is Black, without MICR cheque reader, with EU power supply. The —321 sibling is the same printer in White; MICR-equipped variants use different suffixes.
Does this model read cheques (MICR)?
No — this 301 SKU is the "no MICR" configuration. It still endorses the reverse side of a cheque in a single pass, but it does not read the MICR cheque line. Pick a MICR-equipped TM-J7200 sibling if cheque-line capture is needed.
Is it slower than thermal POS printers?
At ~100 mm/s the TM-J7200 is slower than 500 mm/s thermal units. The trade-off is archival, fade-resistant output that thermal cannot provide. Pick this when the document needs to last; pick TM-T88VII / TM-H6000VI when raw speed dominates.
Singular Expert Insight
Choose TM-J7200-301 if the receipt or slip needs to last — tax-deductible, prescription, government, lottery, banking endorsement. If you only print transient POS receipts the cheaper thermal TM-T88VII is faster and cheaper to run. If you accept paper cheques and need MICR capture, pick a MICR-equipped TM-J7200 or TM-H6000VI variant instead.
