The equip 337311 is a 24-port fiber optic splice box for 19-inch racks: a 1U steel enclosure that arrives already equipped with SC duplex couplers, coloured OS2 single-mode pigtails and a splice cassette on a sliding tray, so incoming trunk fibres can be fusion-spliced and terminated in one unit. It is built for installers and IT teams finishing a fibre backbone in a comms room, server rack or data centre. In practice you splice the trunk to the pigtails inside the tray, close the cassette, and patch from the front couplers to your switches with standard SC duplex patch cords. The enclosure measures 483 × 243 × 44 mm, comes in grey (RAL 7035) and ships with four sets of M6 screws and nuts for mounting.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Fibre type must match your trunk. This is the OS2 single-mode version. An OS2 box does not work with an OM3 or OM4 multimode trunk, and multimode SR optics will not run over it — match the fibre type end to end. Connector must match your patch cords: the front is SC duplex — if your switch side uses LC, you need SC-to-LC hybrid patch cords or the LC version of this box (337211). A fusion splicer is needed to terminate the trunk; the box is not a pre-terminated plug-and-play cassette. In the box: the equipped splice box (sliding tray, splice cassette with cover, pigtails, couplers) and 4 sets of M6 screws and nuts. Not in the box: the trunk cable, patch cords, splice protection sleeves and any tools — equip does not list sleeves among the contents, so plan to supply your own. equip does not state the exact pigtail count, so if your design depends on a specific number of fibres, tell us the trunk fibre count and we will confirm before you order.

Key Features
Pre-equipped, ready to splice
equip supplies the enclosure fully fitted: SC duplex couplers in the front, coloured OS2 pigtails behind them, and a splice cassette with cover on a sliding tray. You do not have to source and fit adapters and pigtails separately — you bring the trunk, splice it to the pigtails and close the cassette.
Sliding tray, front access
The splice tray slides forward out of the 1U housing, so you can splice, re-route or inspect fibres without dismantling the rack. The closed cassette then protects the splices.
SC duplex front panel
SC is the larger push-pull connector still common on media converters, older switches, carrier hand-off points and FTTx equipment. With 24 ports in a single rack unit, the panel keeps the patch field compact and neatly labelled next to your network gear.
Steel 1U housing
4.3 kg of steel enclosure at 483 × 243 × 44 mm, finished in Grey (RAL 7035). It mounts in any standard 19-inch rack with the supplied M6 hardware and needs roughly 25 cm of usable depth plus room at the rear for the incoming trunk to bend gently.

The 24-port model packs more ports into the same 1U; if you only need a few links, the 12-port version is 337301.
