Equip 128967 — four ports clipped to the edge of the desk, not lying on it
2 x USB-A + 2 x USB-C5 Gbps on all fourClamps to desk or monitorAluminium, 93 g
The Equip 128967 takes a different approach to the desktop hub: instead of occupying surface space, it clamps to the edge of a desk or a monitor up to 30 mm thick, so the ports sit in front of you. It carries two USB-A and two USB-C sockets, all running USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 5 Gbps, in an aluminium body held by a screw locking mechanism with a silicone pad that grips without scratching. A separate USB-C inlet takes a 5 V / 2 A supply for higher-draw devices.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Measure the edge first: the clamp fits up to 30 mm. The USB-C 5 V / 2 A socket is a power inlet, not a fifth data port and not a charging output, and the power cord is not included — without it the four ports live on whatever the host supplies, and Equip does not publish a per-port current figure. One inconsistency inside Equip’s own documentation is worth knowing: the product name and description say the host connector is USB-C, while the package-contents list includes a USB-A data cable, so confirm with us which connector the stock we hold actually ships with if your machine only has one kind of port.
Best For
✓ Desks where surface space is the scarce thing
✓ Monitor arms and standing desks
✓ A mix of USB-A and USB-C accessories
✓ Flash drives, card readers, mice and keyboards
✓ Shared and hot-desk workstations
✓ Anyone reaching behind a tower for a USB port
Key Features
It clips on instead of sitting there
An adjustable clamp with a screw lock and a silicone pad grips a desk or monitor edge up to 30 mm without marking it, putting the ports at the front where your hands are.
Two of each connector
Two USB-A and two USB-C ports, all data-capable at up to 5 Gbps, so the mouse you have owned for years and the drive you bought last month both plug straight in.
A power inlet for the hungry days
A dedicated USB-C 5 V / 2 A input lets you feed the hub from a mains adapter rather than from the laptop, which is what keeps four active devices stable. The cord is bought separately.

Singular Expert Insight
Nearly every hub in our USB hub range competes on ports and speed. This one competes on where it lives: clamped to an edge rather than lying on the desk, which is the right answer on a small desk, a standing desk or a monitor arm setup where the surface is already full. The port mix is sensible for a transitional kit — two USB-A for what you own, two USB-C for what you are buying — and all four run at the same 5 Gbps. Two things to settle before ordering: the 30 mm edge limit, and the host connector, because Equip’s own documents disagree on that one line and we would rather check the stock than have you guess. For the rest of the desk, our monitor and desk accessories cover the arms and cable management that go with a setup like this.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Desk space is scarce and you would rather clip the ports to an edge than lay a hub on the surface. You use both USB-A and USB-C accessories and want two of each. You want an aluminium unit that grips without marking the desk.
Skip it if
Your desk or monitor edge is thicker than 30 mm. You expected the USB-C inlet to be a fifth data port or a charging output. You need certainty about the host connector today and cannot wait for us to confirm it.
Also consider
Equip 128968 for the same clamp with an SD and microSD card reader instead of the second USB-C port. A desktop hub if you have surface space to spare. A mains-powered hub if drives are involved.
