equip 133479 2-in-1 USB-C OTG Adapter

10 Gbps data100W Power DeliveryBuilt-in audio DACAluminium, 8 g

The equip 133479 turns one USB-C port into two, so a phone, tablet or laptop can charge and still take a USB-C accessory at the same time. Article 133479 supports OTG host mode, carries data at up to 10 Gbps, passes USB Power Delivery up to 100W and includes a DAC chip for USB-C headphones, all inside an aluminium shell that measures 26 x 6.7 x 40 mm and weighs 8 g.

Before you buy: equip publishes the adapter as a 10 Gbps data port plus 100W Power Delivery, but does not state that both USB-C sockets carry data at the same time, so plan it as one accessory port alongside charging. There is no DisplayPort Alt Mode, so it will not drive a monitor, and OTG use needs a host that supports it, which covers most current phones, tablets and laptops.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I charge my phone and use USB-C headphones at the same time?
That is exactly what the adapter is for. One socket takes the charger, the other takes the headphones, and the built-in DAC handles the audio conversion for headsets that have no digital-to-analogue chip of their own. It removes the usual choice between listening and charging on a phone with a single port.
Does it work as a proper two-port hub for drives?
Treat it as one accessory port plus charging. equip states 10 Gbps data and 100W Power Delivery for the adapter but does not publish simultaneous data on both sockets, so plugging in two drives at once is not a documented use. For that, choose a powered USB-C hub with a stated port layout.
Singular Expert Insight
This is the small accessory that fixes the single-port phone or tablet, and the aluminium body keeps it cooler and tougher than the plastic splitters sold for a couple of euros. The 10 Gbps rating puts it well ahead of the USB 2.0 splitters in the same size, so a fast drive is not wasted on it. Just do not expect it to behave like a dock: no video, and no documented dual-drive use. For that, look at docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you want to charge and use a USB-C accessory or headphones at once from a single port, in something that fits a pocket.
✕ Skip it if you need a display output, several data ports at the same time, or USB-A sockets.
→ Also consider equip 133476 if you would rather have two plug-style adapters, or a USB-C hub when you need HDMI and USB-A too.
