Present the barcode and keep both hands free

Countertop1MP CMOSQR + Data MatrixUSB powered

Equip 351028 stays on the checkout counter while the operator presents a product label or a phone-screen code to its reading window. Omnidirectional reading reduces the need to align the barcode, and automatic detection can trigger scanning without picking up a handheld reader. The included cable supplies USB power and transfers data to a compatible host application.

Before you order:
This is a wired desktop scanner. The RJ45-shaped scanner connector belongs to its USB cable and does not provide Ethernet networking. Mobile-host use requires a suitable USB connection and application; listed operating systems do not guarantee every device or app.

What's in the Box

  • Barcode scanner
  • 1.8m USB-A to RJ45 scanner cable
  • Quick installation guide

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, a cashier presents a customer QR code to the window while leaving the reader on the counter. The POS application decides what that code means; scanning alone does not process a payment.

What Will Not Work

  • No Bluetooth or wireless roaming.
  • No Ethernet connection through the scanner cable.

Key Features

Countertop workflow
Automatic, continuous and manual modes suit different presentation tasks. The fixed form leaves both hands available for handling items.

Megapixel imaging
The 1280×800 CMOS reads 1D, PDF417, QR and Data Matrix, including screen-displayed codes. Test actual label quality and screen brightness.

USB and IP54
USB plug-and-play installation and an IP54 ABS housing suit a fixed counter position without battery management. IP54 is not an immersion rating.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it differ from a handheld scanner?
Bring the barcode to this stationary reader. Choose a handheld model when you need to reach labels on large or awkward items.
Does 700mm apply to every barcode?
No. The maker lists a general scan distance, but specific reference ranges are much shorter and depend on barcode size and quality.
Singular Expert Insight
Choose 351028 for a fixed counter where items or phones can be brought to the scanner. Its 1MP imaging distinguishes it from basic VGA desktop readers, but reach and symbol size still matter: use the verified per-code ranges rather than assuming a universal 700mm range. Compare barcode scanners
