The equip 119467 is a 7.5-metre USB-C to USB-C active optical cable (AOC) that carries video, data and power in one run where a normal copper USB-C cable would fail. It suits meeting rooms, lecture halls, control desks and workstations where the laptop or PC sits well away from the display or dock. Inside, the signal is converted to light, so it travels the full 7.5 m with low attenuation and no electromagnetic interference, while the cable stays thinner and lighter than long copper. On the spec side it follows USB 3.2 Gen 2 with up to 10Gbps data, carries USB Power Delivery up to 60W (20V/3A), and passes video up to 8K 60Hz through DisplayPort Alt Mode with DSC, HDR and HDCP 2.2 support. Connectors are gold-plated in zinc-alloy housings.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This cable works in one direction only. The ends are marked: the source end must go to the laptop, PC or other USB-C source and the other end to the display, dock or peripheral — plugged in reverse it will not work. Your source’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video; many phones, some tablets and charging-only laptop ports do not. 8K 60Hz needs DSC on both the graphics source and the display. Charging is capped at 60W — a laptop that needs 90W or 100W will charge slowly or not at all through this cable. It is USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps), not a Thunderbolt or USB4 cable, so 20/40Gbps devices and eGPUs will not reach their rated speed. equip does not state whether the cable needs any external power. Do not confuse it with 119464: same 7.5 m length, but that version is rated for 4K 60Hz video only. In the box: the cable only.
