Equip Cat5e Unshielded Junction Box — LSA Punch-Down, White
Cat5eUnshieldedLSA / IDC22–26 AWG
The Equip 135410 is an unshielded Cat5e junction box with LSA/IDC punch-down terminals on both sides, for joining two solid installation cables directly — the usual way to extend a run that is too short or repair a cable that was cut, without adding plugs or couplers.
Each cable end is punched down on colour-coded T568A/T568B terminals and the box is closed. Because there are no RJ45 connections in between, the joint is permanent and stable, which is what you want inside a wall, ceiling or trunking. Equip rates the terminals for up to 200 punch operations.
Before you order: You need an LSA punch-down tool to terminate the wires — it is not included. The box suits unshielded U/UTP solid installation cable, 22–26 AWG.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Equip Cat5e unshielded junction box (135410)
What It Means in Practice
- Repairs a damaged cable or extends a short run in place, instead of pulling a new cable.
- No plugs or couplers in the path, so the joint is as reliable as the cable itself.
- Colour-coded T568A and T568B terminals reduce wiring errors.
- Re-terminable up to 200 times.
What Will Not Work
- No RJ45 sockets — patch cords cannot be plugged in. For that use an inline or keystone coupler.
- Punch-down tool not included.
- Not rated for Cat6 or 10GBase-T — the box is Cat5e.
- No mounting accessories are listed by Equip.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A junction box is the professional repair for a cut or short installation cable: it keeps the link permanent and plug-free, as long as the box category matches the cable. Use
patch cables of at least the same category on both sides.
✓ Buy it if You need to extend or repair a Cat5e installation cable inside a wall, ceiling or trunking.
✕ Skip it if You want to join patch cords, or the cabling is Cat6A — choose a coupler or a Cat6A junction box.
→ Also consider Equip 135621 Cat6 shielded junction box, and Equip 221161 inline coupler for patch cords.
