Equip 118806 VGA Extension Cable — 20 m, HD-15 Male to Female

20 mHD-15 M/FUp to 1024 x 768

The Equip 118806 is a 20 m VGA extension cable with an HD-15 male plug on one end and an HD-15 female socket on the other, rated by Equip for analogue video up to 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz. It lengthens an existing VGA cable so a monitor or projector can sit further away from the PC.

It uses double shielded copper conductors with ferrite beads, nickel-plated contacts, a PVC jacket and knurled thumbscrews that lock each connector in place — practical for fixed runs in classrooms, meeting rooms and workshops.

Compatibility note: Equip rates this 20 m run for 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz only. At Full HD (1920 x 1080) expect soft text or ghosting — for 1080p over long distances use the Equip Premium 118855 / 118856 (1080p rated) or a digital HDMI/DisplayPort connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Equip 118806 carry audio?
No. VGA is an analogue, video-only interface, so the 118806 carries the picture only. Use a separate 3.5 mm audio cable to the display or speakers, or switch to HDMI if both devices support it.
Can the Equip 118806 connect a PC directly to a monitor?
No. PC and monitor VGA ports are normally female sockets, so this male-to-female extension plugs onto the end of an existing male-to-male VGA cable (or a fixed monitor lead) to add 20 m of reach.
Singular Expert Insight
The 118806 is a 20 m extension with ferrite beads for large rooms where the VGA source cannot move closer to the projector. Because it extends an existing cable, the total analogue run is longer still, so Equip’s 1024 x 768 rating is the realistic ceiling. For HDMI-capable PC monitors or projectors, a digital link is the more future-proof option.
✓ Buy it if you must add 20 m to a VGA run feeding an XGA projector or legacy screen.
✕ Skip it if you need Full HD or can place the PC closer to the display.
→ Also consider Equip Premium 118856 (20 m extension, 1080p rated).
